Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 23 July 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Ripple mobile application and website ("Service"). By creating an account, continuing as a guest, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Ripple uses AI to analyse photos of water and suggest fish species, lures, rigs, and tactics. Recommendations are guidance only. Actual fishing results depend on conditions, skill, regulations, and many factors outside our control. You are responsible for fishing legally and safely.

2. Accounts

3. Subscriptions, trials and billing

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Content you upload

You retain ownership of photos and catch entries you upload. You grant Ripple a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, and analyse that content solely to operate and improve the Service. You can delete your content at any time via in-app controls or by requesting data deletion.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, models, and content (other than your uploads), is owned by Ripple and protected by intellectual-property laws. You receive a limited, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that AI recommendations will result in successful catches, that species identification is always accurate, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes any consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ripple is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising out of your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Ripple in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or AUD $50, whichever is greater.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or for legal, security, or compliance reasons. Sections that by their nature survive termination will survive.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. The courts of Australia have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes, without prejudice to any consumer rights you may have in your country of residence.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with an updated "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
