Account & Data Deletion
Last updated: 23 July 2026You can delete your Ripple account and all associated personal data at any time. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and what may be retained.
Option 1 — Delete from the app
- Open the Ripple app and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Your account and data are queued for deletion immediately. Deletion completes within 30 days.
Option 2 — Email request
If you can't access the app, email us from the address registered to your account:
Subject: Ripple Account Deletion Request
Body: Include the email address on your account and confirm you want all data deleted.
We will action the request within 7 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account (auth record, profile)
- Your uploaded scan photos
- Your catch log entries and photos
- Your saved spots and preferences
- Your notification tokens and subscription preferences
- Personal identifiers in analytics data
What may be retained
We may retain limited data where required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Billing records: retained for the period required by Australian tax and consumer-protection law (typically 5–7 years). These records do not contain card numbers.
- Aggregated, anonymised analytics: non-identifiable usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.
- Abuse and fraud logs: retained as needed to prevent re-registration after policy violations.
Subscription cancellation
Deleting your Ripple account does not automatically cancel a store subscription.
iPhone / iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Ripple → Cancel Subscription.
Android: Google Play Store → profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Ripple → Cancel subscription.
